Double Rama Navami Celebrations!

8:19:00 PM By RG

This year, Toronto's Hare Krishna Centre will mark the appearance day of Lord Rama (also known as Rama Navami) on two separate occasions this upcoming week! This Sunday, April 6th, we will begin the celebrations with a dramatic presentation by Bhaktimarga Swami entitled, "Little Big Ramayana" that will surely have everyone excited. This will be followed by evening celebrations on Tuesday, April 8th, which is the actual day of celebration. We are pleased to have our special guest, Narayani devi dasi lead us in discourse on Lord Rama on that day.

Lord Rama is the incarnation of Lord Krishna as the perfect monarch. He enacts His lila, or pastime, of killing the evil king Ravana and establishing virtue, by personal example, throughout His kingdom. The epic story of His transcendental adventures is told in the scripture Ramayana in which one reads of His unfailing devotion to His wife Sita and Their affectionate dealings with Lord Rama's many family members, particularly His devoted Brother, Lakshmana.

We hope that everyone can join us for these celebrations!
